Order of Worship & Announcements 5/17/2026

This weeks announcements
  • Today at 11:50am the Stewarding Community will meet in Endo.
  • Monday our Food Pantry provides much needed nutrition to our neighbors in need. If you can assist, come help unload at 9:30 OR stock shelves and distribute the assistance later until 2pm. The pantry will be closed on Monday, May 25 and distribution will be on Wednesday, May 27 for that week.
  • On Wednesday, May 20th, the Church Council Reports are due into the office. Please submit your reports as we are trying to streamline the Council meetings and only discuss any issues the Communities may have.
  • Also on Wednesday any articles for the ‘Īao Pepa are due.
  • On Wednesday our ‘Ukulele Hui meets at 7pm in the sanctuary. See Kahu Dennis if you are interested in learning more.
  • On Friday our Kosraean Women’s Fellowship meets at 6pm in the sanctuary.
  • Saturday, May 23 is our monthly workday. Come at 8am to work on projects around the church. All are welcome and we should be finished by noon.
  • Please join us next Sunday for Pentecost, the birthday of the church. Be sure to wear red.
  • After our service, please join us on the lanai for refreshments, provided today by Dawna Krueger and Joy Yamaoka.
  • Strengthen the Church special offering will be collected on May 24 (Pentecost). The envelopes are located in the pews.
  • Navigating the Islands Event is Saturday May 30, 2-5pm. There is a sign-up on the back board to help man our table.

Announcements for April 26- May 3, 2026

  • This afternoon at 2pm the Maui Choral Arts choir will be presenting their spring concert "At Home Ma Kauhale" with music all about home in both English and Hawaiian. There is a flyer on the bulletin board and cards to take if you are interested.
  • Our food pantry is tomorrow, Monday and we could use additional help unloading the pallets of food at 9:30 OR come later to help stock shelves and distribute food to our neighbors in need. We could use muscles to help with shopping at the Food Bank, 8:00am. Please see Susan or Dawna.
  • Wednesday the Church Council meets via Zoom at 5:45pm. There is also a group who meet in person in Endo Hall. All members are welcome.
  • Also on Wednesday at 7pm The 'Ukulele Hui meets in the sanctuary.  Contact Kahu Dennis for additional info - all levels are welcome.
  • Thursday the shelter dinner preparations will be happening in Kanda Hall. Mahalo to Gayle Ideue for heading up this ministry-you can speak to her if you would like to help. We are looking for desserts - cookies, cupcakes, brownies. Please drop them off at the office by 2:00 pm.
  • On Friday our Ladies' Lunch Bunch meets at 11:30am on the Lanai. Bring your lunch and enjoy the fellowship.
  • Also on Friday our Kosraen Women's Fellowship meets at 6pm here in the sanctuary.
  • Please join us next Sunday, as we welcome Rev. Kyle Lovett as our guest preacher. Kahu Kalani will be on a well deserved vacation.
  • Also next Sunday, the Citrus City Brass 2026 Hawai'i Tour will be performing here in our sanctuary. This is a free event open to the public - so put it on your calendars. Doors open at 12:30pm and the concert begins at 1pm.
  • After our service, please join us, on the lanai for refreshments, provided today by the Kosraen Etawi.

It was a wild and  crazy Easter Egg hunt by our keiki.

Please review the revised bylaws that were sent out by email on April 1. There are 3 documents. All that need to be reviewed. There will be a congregational  meeting called for in May calling for a vote. Watch for details.

March 8-14 Announcements

Announcement's Today- the stewarding Community will meet in Endo Hall-cancelled Monday- Food Pantry Distribution-11-2 Wednesday-Ukulele Hui practice 7 pm News letter and Council reports Due Saturday-Micronesian Event  at Queen Kaahumanu Center, Navigating the Islands. Health and Community. 2-5 pm. There are hard copies of the current Bylaws, proposed new Bylaws and proposed policies and procurers.  Watch for the call for a congregational meeting to vote on the changes. Remember that our keiki have challenged us to memorize the books of the Bible by Easter. And remember "No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, YOU are welcome here!"
