Announcements for April 26- May 3, 2026

  • This afternoon at 2pm the Maui Choral Arts choir will be presenting their spring concert “At Home Ma Kauhale” with music all about home in both English and Hawaiian. There is a flyer on the bulletin board and cards to take if you are interested.
  • Our food pantry is tomorrow, Monday and we could use additional help unloading the pallets of food at 9:30 OR come later to help stock shelves and distribute food to our neighbors in need. We could use muscles to help with shopping at the Food Bank, 8:00am. Please see Susan or Dawna.
  • Wednesday the Church Council meets via Zoom at 5:45pm. There is also a group who meet in person in Endo Hall. All members are welcome.
  • Also on Wednesday at 7pm The ‘Ukulele Hui meets in the sanctuary.  Contact Kahu Dennis for additional info – all levels are welcome.
  • Thursday the shelter dinner preparations will be happening in Kanda Hall. Mahalo to Gayle Ideue for heading up this ministry-you can speak to her if you would like to help. We are looking for desserts – cookies, cupcakes, brownies. Please drop them off at the office by 2:00 pm.
  • On Friday our Ladies’ Lunch Bunch meets at 11:30am on the Lanai. Bring your lunch and enjoy the fellowship.
  • Also on Friday our Kosraen Women’s Fellowship meets at 6pm here in the sanctuary.
  • Please join us next Sunday, as we welcome Rev. Kyle Lovett as our guest preacher. Kahu Kalani will be on a well deserved vacation.
  • Also next Sunday, the Citrus City Brass 2026 Hawai’i Tour will be performing here in our sanctuary. This is a free event open to the public – so put it on your calendars. Doors open at 12:30pm and the concert begins at 1pm.
  • After our service, please join us, on the lanai for refreshments, provided today by the Kosraen Etawi.

The Sunday School Keiki won the Books of the Bible Challenge by a land slide!

It was a wild and  crazy Easter Egg hunt by our keiki.

Please review the revised bylaws that were sent out by email on April 1. There are 3 documents. All that need to be reviewed. There will be a congregational  meeting called for in May calling for a vote. Watch for details.

Announcements March 22-28, 2026

This week at ‘Īao UCC

March 22-28, 2026

You should have received an email on March that explained to everyone, we are in the process of revising our Bylaws. Everyone should have received an electric copy of both the old document an the proposed new document as well as a completely new document, “Policies and Practices”. We will be voting on the 2 new documents in May. There are a few hard copies for people who do not have access to computer on the back table. Please review these documents and if you have questions speak to Suzette, Jackie or Cynthia,

Due to training of the Maui Food Band staff, our Food Pantry will be held on Wednesday, 3/25. Help unloading an stocking the shelves begins at 9:30, food bag prep starts at 10 and distribution is between 11 and 2.  Also on Wednesday we will hold our monthly Council Meeting on Zoom at 5:45 and the `Ukulele Hui practices begins at 7 pm in the sanctuary.

Saturday, March 28 you are invited to join other members of the congregation and community at Queen Ka`ahumanu Center between 2-6 pm for the “No Dictators” rally.

Remember the challenge the Keiki have given us. Memorize the books of the Bible by Easter.

Holy week will be marked by a Maundy Thursday service April 2 at 6 pm here at ‘Īao UCC. Easter Sunrise will be held 6am  at Ka`ahumanu Church. Then join in regular worship  held at 10 am followed by an easter egg hunt for the Keiki.

After service today join us for Aloha Hour provided by Jackie Murai and Cheryl Matsui.

Join us next Sunday as we celebrate Palm Sunday.

Today’s Aloha Hour is hosted by out Kosraen Etawi. Their worship service will follow at 3 pm

Monday: Regular food pantry 11 am-2pm food distribution. Please be in prayful consideration becoming a volunteer to help with the shopping at 8:00 am on Monday Mornings. We need a person who is able to lift the heavy boxes of produce, protein, along with other heavy items.

Wednesday the !Ukulele Hui will meet at 7 pm. All are welcome.
