On Sunday, October 19, we will celebrate Children’s Sabbath with a very special worship service at 10:00 a.m. We are delighted to welcome the children, families, and staff of our own Iao Preschool to join us for this joyful morning of worship.
Jesus once said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs” (Mark 10:14). On this day, we follow his example—celebrating our keiki and the gift they are to our community.
During worship, we will offer prayers of gratitude for our teachers and staff whose dedication and creativity continue to bless our preschool. We will also surround the parents and families of our preschool children with love and support, affirming our partnership in caring for and nurturing these keiki.
After the keiki are dismissed from worship, there will be special Sunday School activities in Kanda Hall, with our Learning Community and Pastor Lauren continuing the celebration of our children. The adults staying in worship will be treated to our first stewarding witness, Cynthia Snell, as well as a timely message from Keola Whittaker!
Please come on the 19th and help us extend a warm ‘Iao UCC welcome as we give thanks for the ways our preschool enriches our congregation and our wider community.
